The Cat and Mouse Duet series

RATING; Five Stars

Ok. Wow.

I loved this series however, I will say (probably get a bit of hate for this) based on what I seen on social media and actually reading the series, I did not find it as intense or worse as what it was made out to be.

I will say I did zone out a little bit while listening to the audiobook, and I may just be a dense person but it kinda throughout the series had a consistent pace. I don't wish what Adeline went through on anybody, but I was kinda disappointed as I was expecting this 'not able to finish' feeling or constant adrenaline.

I can't exactly put into text how I feel about this series, as it's hard to find the perfect wording. However, I absolutely loved the series, I thought the characters were developed well and the plot kept you interested. I'm absolutely a fan of Zade. I did find the humor in it funny and was able to laugh at the comedic parts.

But based on the social media content and the content warnings I didn't find it as dark as what i thought it was made to be. (not saying it isn't dark and that what Adeline went through was ok, just that based on everything I have seen on this series made it seem that it was 'dark-as-night, dark')

Definitely for 18+ though. If you're only looking for a LITTLE BIT of spice ABSOULETLY, DEFINETLY, do not read this book. Cause there is a lot of 18+ content in this book, basically ghost pepper, you are going to be wanting to hit that skip button multiple times. There also is a lot of content that may not be suitable for some readers. do take the content warnings seriously and if you are uncomfortable with any of them my best advice is not to read the book because it does hit those points with the content warnings
