(Book 3 in The Shining series)
RATING: Five Stars
I know I said My Shining Bad Boy was my favorite, but I have to say My Shining Hitman takes the cake.
I must say I wasn't sure Matty and Elena could be beat, but I was proved wrong. Trigger and Ashely have that fairytale-like dream to them, even if it has a bit of violence involved. However, what's a fairytale without a knight coming to save his princess?
My Shining Hitman is my favorite of the series. I loved being able to read their story and was able to connect to their characters in a way. I loved how I couldn't stop reading and it kept me interested and had great comedy relief. I am all about the funny lines and the ability to connect with characters.
I love how even through all the trauma the characters have faced, they still manage to crack jokes and have fun. I love that they all stand beside each other and have the motto ‘If you mess with one of us, you mess with all of us.’ They're a tight-knit group of friends that are loyal to a fault.
Definitely recommend the Shining Series. I enjoyed reading it.
I hope to read more about Ricky even if he isn't part of the original group of friends.
