RATING: Five Stars
Wow...I flew through this book so fast!
I have to say it, Faint Hearted is my favorite book in the series so far. I couldn't put it down, I found myself constantly wanting to know what happens next. I am sad that I have to wait until early next year to read book 3.
Stryker and Aribella, I loved together. I thought they went perfectly together with him being grumpy and closed off and her being soft, kind, and sweet. Each of their differences complements each other. Making it fun to see how they interact as they learn more about each other.
The story-building and character-building are amazing, I love being able to picture and relate to the characters. I like that the authors decided to give the main character a disability of sorts, instead of a side character as you don't see that often in books/movies.
In a way, I relate in a couple of ways to Aribella, who has always been underestimated and treated as fragile. I love how she can put that aside and still attempt to complete her mission to Ethereum. How she is resilient and doesn't let what others say dissuade her.
Most of all I love how Faint Hearted was able to make me laugh out loud. I love when books can just make you forget where you are and have a good time/laugh. I am also unashamed to admit that I also ended up snacking as I read it.
There are two things....well three that go into me rating a book.
it makes me laugh
It makes me want to snack when reading
I can relate/easily picture the characters and picture the setting
Faint Hearted has all three!
