I liked this book; I had a good time reading it. However, I felt like it took a long time to get to the point, and there were lots of ups and downs. I struggled to follow along. However, I am looking forward to reading the next book in the series.

I really like reading dark romance books, and I am hoping that book one spent time helping the reader get a better idea of how the world all worked. That's what made it a bit more difficult to get into. This is the first book I have read by Shantel Tessier, and I can't wait to read more.

This book is more for 18+ readers as there is some content that may not be suitable for some readers.
