Book review #26— Leave of My Duty written by Nikki A. Lamers

I had a good time reading Leave of My Duty. It is the first book I have read from Nikki Lamers, and I can't say it will be the last.

Though, can I just say I want to move to the farm now if for no other reason than Ma's breakfast? Man, it sounded so good!

I loved how easy it was to picture the story's setting and how the characters were easy to relate to. I am a sucker for good world-building and great character arcs.

I absolutely loved Griffan and Mallory together. I liked that he was good with her kids and would help around. Also isn't afraid to act silly for the little ones.

I thought it was amazing how the town of Piper Falls came together to help Mallory after what happened to her late husband.

It really shows more people care about you than what you think.
